100mbps networking

Unsaon ba pag configure sa PCs para mag 100mbps ang transfer speed? Kay if mag copy ko files from other pc, 10mbps ra ang max speed.

Our setup:
Computer 1 : 10/100/1000 mbps under windows vista
Computer 2 : 10/100 mbps under windows xp
Router : Linksys wrt54g

Please help ang nakabalo

hi! what made you say you only have 10mbps max transfer rate?? how did you measure it?

100mbps(megabits per second) speed has a transfer rate of about 12.5MB/sec(megabytes per second)
1byte=8bits..

Set both NICs to "Auto Negotiate" @ Full Duplex.
use a switch that's capable of 100Mbps speed + Cat5e cables.
because of data overhead, you will only get ~ half of 100Mbps.

if you want actual 100Mbps+ speeds, you need a gigabit switch, Cat5e, and gigabit NICs on both PCs.

Sa Vista makita man ang transfer rate. Mga 8Mbps-15Mbps raman aq transfer rate gani nya 100Mbps ang speed sa LAN. Saon kaha na pagpapapas2x? Any tips? Newbie paq gud.
