Thread: Krav Maga

This is probably the reason why KRAV MAGA is not considered as a MARTIAL ARTS , worst as a COMPETITIVE SPORT since it is very lethal derived from very effective styles .

Nice to hear from you MANHATTAN .

all martial arts are the same, but if you wanted your art can join into sports you have to make some rules and thats the reasons now other martial arts have their own rules in order they can participate in world and even asean tourney.

Then if you put RULES and REGULATIONS to a certain " DISCIPLINE " , it will come ot different . Do you think traditionalist in JUDO and TAEKWANDO shares the same style as those who participates in OLYMPICS or any sanctioned events ? Its different and its much more civilized .

Going back to the topic ... if you regulate KRAV MAGA , its not KRAV MAGA anymore . Its not even MARTIAL ARTS in the first place . Its just simply a SELF DEFENSE STYLE that was proven in and out of streets against other arts with fighters who shares the same level of knoeldge so there is no bias . Its just too lethal to be sanctioned lol . It will even make pure AIkido look like paradise and that is modesty aside .

i agree 100%! traditional judo and olympic judo have their differences in mindset, training etc... this also applies to all other traditional martial arts which are regulated because of competition. but im not saying that 1 is more superior than the other, im just saying that they have their differences. i suggest practicing both traditional and competitive art under one discipline. aron sad dili boring bah. la-ay sad kaau oi kung dili ka mo compete cge lang kag praktis self defense hehe.
