this thread compelled me to dust off my dokken beast from the east mp3's last night and i have to say, dokken was at its best in the late 80's. don had that piercing wail which i'm pretty sure he can't duplicate now. and lynch,....that face-melting guitar solos are really mind-blowing. DOKK ON!

....and btw, i was from TC too....dugay na. lol

man ive seen mr. big featured ritchie kotzen but in my mind, paul gilbert is still the main dude. you can tell the difference on the song green tinted sixties mind. ritchie kotzen is better in his poison gigs. native tongue blues album. and then comes blues saraceno. but again il comment, cc deville is still the main poison dude. ive been listening to cat dragged in, open up... and flesh and blood... these 3 albums are my soundtrack until the end. but i still dont have yet the poison'd album the cover song album. i guess every band has its cover song. any metal or pop band plays cover song. but there is one group ive never heared from them play cover... ac/dc.
Cool band name dude pero karon if hair bands inyo tirada, mura gamay nlng kaau mosakay kay kasagaran sa mga batan-un (parehas nako ) kay alternative ug mainstream na man ang ganahan.

Daghan pud bya album's si Ritchie Kotzen outside of Mr. Big. Nice pud iyang compositions, so far usa pa akong na DL...Hahaha, lisud pud na i-cover ang AC/DC kay sakit sa tilaok

there are lots of tc guys here thats very cool. lots of memories in that place. i dont have a fraternity but i joined an organization. during my freshmen year, there were already lots of thrashers or headbangers all over the campus. long hair dudes, acid-washed jeans, dock martin shoes, dread lock guys or anything that would look like mick mars.. i gained friends because of this music. we were trading tapes, talking bout bands that rocks. of course dokken and van halen, during that particular time, never runs out from the story. i guess mr. big lean into it was blooming on the airwaves. that was also the time of grunge. kurt cobain, layne staley and others were new on the list. vulgar display of power by pantera, megadeth countdown to extinction and metallica black album were the tapes that people passed on to each other. including me. "what weve got here is failure to communicate" this is everyones line everytime we see each other in class. man i missed those crazy years.
everybody on this thread agrees paul gilbert is the main dude of mr. big. ritchie kotzen on the other hand is also a great riffer but paul got more styles.. hey whats this mab. sounds like another riffer madness style here. got more bands to catch up. "oh man i think the clock is slow"..keep it going tc dawgs..

absolutely bro! i guess all of us miss each of our tc college days...man, those were real rockin' times - just hangin' around the main lobby, sitting on the stairs, chillin' out on the 2nd floor veranda, just cussing about rock music, oh man...those were the days...

hey dieseldust bro, let's give our main bro james_mustaine a hand man!...maybe you can send him some of your MAB files so's we can have 1 more MAB worshippin' bro amongst us...so watcha say man...

Michael Angelo Batio is another neo-classical metal shredmaster & guitar exhibitionist extraordinaire (plays a double neck with both hands at the same time!!!), that has come to be known for his light speed fretwork & exemplary innovations to the neo-classical metal sub-genre...fusing classic rock, blues, & light jazz fusion into mainstream neo-classical metal music to produce his own signature frenzied guitar sound...

MAB is voted as the fastest guitar shredder by guitar one...beating great contemporaries as chris impellitteri, joe stump, even living guitar legend yjm by a long run...

im ashamed of myself right now man. mab.. that michael angelo batio. hes is the dean endorser. i thought steve vai was the only dude doing that double opposite neck. hes that virtuoso like yjm style. fast and furious. it should be against the law man. anyways ive seen him, my cuz idolize that guy. mab always features on almost every guitar world issues but i never try to do his stuff coz im afraid i might lose my head. is he among those guys on the guitar masters cd? i only remember vai, satch, hendrix, steve morse, vinne moore and others.. dieseldust, berserker and robotman i guess is younger than me but they got more stuffs and views of guitarist of my time. rock on dawgs.. that turns me on fire..
but those tc years really needs to be reckoned with man.

MAB is my first favorite speaking about heavy metal guitar playing..i saw once he played the quad guitar...man he uses lots of gain from distortion...that really needs lots of gain to make it work..

i might disagree with this bro..hair bands will always be cool and famous if someone is still doing it now a days...the problem with rock music sa karon, they are very limited in creativity..nobody is doing 'instrument olympics' and aymore or even the high pitch vocals...mga batan-on sa karon sama nato bro, we have no choice..they have no choice...unsay ilang madunggan sa radio mao rapod ila ihimo idol nila ky mao ra may available...i know some of youngsters now don't even now who is guns n roses or even scorpions na mao nay pinakasikat na hair bands sa pinas sa una...

that's y im having hard time finding bandmates who i can share my styles...

sama ra gud sa sud-an, kung dugay na ang tao wa katilaw beef steak, dayon sige ra gakang-kong magkadugay magkalami nalang nuon ang kang-kong bisag way beef steak..but if imo sya pakan-a og beef steak usab diba maoverwhelmed gd ang tao...

i agree bro! i too am proud of our bros dieseldust & robotman...these dudes really know a lot about metal...i even hate to admit, but dieseldust really beats the crap out of me when it comes to metal knowledge...but i'm glad we have here on this thread, as he made me realize that there's a lot more metal to know & learn out there, & that somehow i have stagnated & have a lot of catching up to do...

true, true man...the glorious tc years...i know we all want to go back to those times...but that simply ain't gonna happen as we all know...somehow we shall all look back to those good old times & reminisce as many moments of it as best we can...coz just like rock & roll man, they can never die...but live forever in our hearts & souls...as we all shall keep on rockin'...& we're never stoppin'!!!...
