marty friedman!!! hail to the metal master!!! much of friedman's guitar skill & ability is showcased with his work on megadeth...this guy plays the git with a clubbed right hand (notice the strange clubbed positioning of his right hand when he plays), this is a speed picking technique where the strings are picked from beneath the string level...i've only seen this technique with friedman & george lynch, although lynch's use of this method is not as clearly defined as htat of friedman's...
i have dragon kiss, scenes, & music for speeding...dragon kiss is full of heavy shredders...yes, becker provided additional guitar solos for 'saturation point' & 'jewel'...becker's is such a trajic story...it's really a shame to see such potential go to ruin due to the debilitating effects of lou gehrig's disease (ALS)...
the scenes album is a major redirection in friedman's style...here he wanders into new age territory, & flaunts his musical flexibility, producing moody, atmospheric tunes (at times oriental sounding) like trance, triumph, realm of the senses, among the rest...
nice plan bro! i agree, i think it would really be cool to use the atmospheric strains of triumph at your wedding (imbitaha unya mi ha! hehe)...triumph does sound heavenly & angelic, & could easily pass off as a church hymn...a heavily synth-backed track..
i learned that tony macalpine & paul gilbert played in joey tafolla's out of the sun album...with macalpine handling keyboards & gilbert laying additional solos on some of the tracks...
the friedman-becker project -cacophony...hehe...i have both cacophony albums - speed metal symphony & get off! simply put - double whammy neo-clasical shreddin' at its very best!!!...pure adrenaline packed very meticulously crafted frenzied guitar compositions here!!!...
