different memory sizes with different speeds can even run dual channel. this is called flexmode. an example would be given 2 memory with the same speed but different sizes (1 x 1GB, 1 x 2GB) on dual channel, the 1GB of the 2GB memory will be used to dual-channel while the remaining memory will be on single channel. this largely depends on the chipset that is installed.

makita na sa imong motherboard manual ang chipset sa imong motherboard. dinha nimo makit an unsa mga memory types iyang e support. if na wala na imong manual try download ug everest na program. the program tells u every detail about your computer.

it's possible.. just make sure parehas ug speed pud imong memory gi-install. dili advisable na maglahi sila ug speed.. ex. 1GB na 667MHz ang speed ug 2GB na 800MHz is okay, but much better if both are 800MHz.
