For those who have belief or anything who have to say lets discuss this Right or Wrong thing before going to Religion. How your belief indoctrinates your MORALS. Humanism, athiesm... whatever, State your Defense or Doctrine on this part so we might be able to share Ideas.

To start with:

Christianity is based on the Teachings of Jesus and the Foundation of the LOVE of the Father.

RIGHT in Christianity is RIGHT WITH GOD.
- following Christ commandments is Absolutely Right for his followers, Morals are Preached all overThe Bible Starting in the BOOK of Genesis, but to make it short, You might start reading in the Book of ROMANS onwards. We know it is right because it is written in the hearts of men, then confirmed in his commandments.

The ultimate goal of Christianity is Glorify God. Christians follow the book of the New Testament and Use the Old Testament as the Fullfillment of his work and promise, in short a reflection of what is about to come. People who use the Old Testament are Judaism, and Seventh Day Adventist... (not confirmed) and others I do not know...

WRONG when it is against the Doctrine of Christianity.

morality is artificial: man-made concept often reflective of human interests. it's only relatively recently that the concepts of right and wrong are applied beyond human interests to include non-human organisms.

if people are left to pursue their own ends without restraint then it would result to a chaotic competition for limited resources. as such, moral norms are social. the people in a society come together to formulate a set of norms that, if followed by a significant number of members, would be beneficial to both individuals and the group in general. as time passes, some things in society changes, new people come in with new interests and goals. thus, the moral norms of a society have to be constantly be re-examined to accommodate the new members and new changes. in the process, individuals have to compromise in order that everyone would get something. moral norms are products of social cooperation intended to minimize -- if not totally eliminate -- unbridled competition.

morality is a half cultural - half nature thing brad.. whether good or bad is based on the judgment of the culture of the society and later on the judgement of nature.. ultimately, nature ra jud ang final say kung unsure ang society na good or bad ba na ang usa ka deed or act.

examples:
what is now considered incest was totally acceptable before.. its even stated in the bible na nag-incest si Abraham, the father of God's children..

the cause of global warming.. people did not know back then that the effects of carbon monoxide and other gases that cause green house effect will cause global warming.. actually, kahibaw na gud sila mga scientists ani ba, wa lng jud maminaw.. prehas ra na sa salt-water intrusion dire sugbo.. highschool pako, gi-lecturan nami ana back in 1993, pero unsa na nga year karon - 2009, unya karon pa sila ma-alarm sa salt-water intrusion.. wa na tay fresh water tubig nya ma-inom sa puso ani.. puros na lng gikan MCWD or bottled/filtered water..

kana imong example brad, muboil down to cultural ra japon na.. kay kung wala nay mahabilin mudefend sa doctrines of christian faith, nobody will consider it bad.. try going to a country na wala jud catholico or christian.. na minority ra.. like japan or china.. makakita jud ka sa difference..

Secular morality is one not necessarily something founded on a religion. For example, there is what social scientists call the Social Contract Theory. Accordingly, the notion of what is right or wrong is defined by societies and from which, the same is entrusted to authorities for enforcement.

In other words, a society's morality can be defined thru the establishment of political institutions to determine common interest (laws and edicts) for the state to perpetuate rather than by religious persuasion or a belief of a god.

Usually, the will and pleasure of its constituents govern the morality of a society.

Whether there is universal or particular implication, a society's morality is always shaped for what it believes to be consensually appropriate or responsive to the common good. Example -- if a state does not encourage its people to believe in god (as in most democratic societies), it does not mean that it is a godless country. It simply wants to avoid conflicts between believers and non-believer. In this case, the state determines (by way of legislation) what it believes to be "morally" good for everyone.
