    Default Toyota Fortuner Review

Tried Driving a 2.7 Gas Fortuner, Medyo underpowered, ang 3.0 Diesel ok ra?

  2. #2
never driven a fort yet but i think 160hp (gas) and 163hp (3.0 diesel) has enough pulling power already. it is the 2.5 diesel (109hp) model that is anemic. same engine of the innova with a heavier body. the competitor's 2.5 model has more power to offer.

yup mao na ila ingun ang 2.5 daw underpowered. but ako mga kaila ok man daw. and the FC sa 2.7 is quite decent too.

I have the 2.5D Fort. I love it to it bits. 109 HP is more than enough for me. No need to have more power since it isnt a race car.

this is true, but in my case i got the 2.5 mitsubishi montero sport
    - 136hp with turbo intercooler (2.5 fort has no turbo)
    - cheaper than 2.5 fortuner (2.5 fort is priced almost same as the 4x4 3.0 montero)
    - no engine choking issues (although had been resolved already, i guess)
    - more sportier look, but did not much like the rear design (this is subjective though)
    - not too common yet on our roads (but will soon be)
    - more comfortable ride, less tagtag especially on the 3rd row

sorry thread starter for being OT. again, this is not a fortuner vs montero flaming thread.
