    but still, there's always the bright side..the old (actually not so old ) products' prices will consequently go down...intel has their marketing strategy but consumers can play a waiting game...the more experienced consumers won't jump at the new products right away.they will be engrossed in solving the need-to-upgrade vs want-to-upgrade mindset...but what the heck!?it's really hard to control this upgrade itch!could this be in our veins?hehehe

    they're killing the 920's because its killing their flagship Core i7. the 920 simply overclocks very well that even the flagship model (extreme edition) can only attain the same overclock as the 920. its very unlikely for the 920 to become the new extreme edition so they left the current best processor and kill off its own enemy...the 920.

    Why wait for the next gen? Because you can almost gain nothing with these processors comparing to current Intel regular quad cores. In terms of my usage which is gaming. You gain more in upgrading your videocard rather than these processors.
    Not only that, I can OC my quad core making it last its usability.

    If its something else like servers and such then these procs may be useful.
