sakto man ka..naa man right every nation to develop nuclear weapons but what america is afraid of kay dili regulated ilahang nuclear program and the thing is UN can do nothing about it bisan member sa G77 ang DPRK. supposedly kung naa kay nuclear program it must be well guided by the UN. karon ang the rest of the world kay nahadlok kay DPRK is the most secretive communist country and hadlok sila what they will do next. and what other country has enraged about kay nisulod man sila sa Nuclear NonProliferation Treaty then mugawas napud... silbi sige urong-sulong ilang decision sa treaty.

and apparently, america will have a hard time attacking north korea kay DPRK has the 5th largest army in the world with about 1.25 million. although i could see america or allied countries winning but sad to say it will cost a lot and i mean a lot...and with the current recession i don't see anything to be done by the allies.

Why are you making this an "America vs. North Korea" situation? Not once has the USA mentioned attacking No. Korea, have they? The USA (and so many other nations) are seeking sanctions against No. Korea, not a call to arms. You apparently have little or no knowledge of what you speak. Your remarks are meant only to provide additional anti-US rhetoric to the table.. If you are happy for No. Korea and their nuke testing, shout your kudos and leave America out of it. You and Jerry Michael should spend more time thinking about how you can improve your own country, including including how you would fare without US military backing in the event No. Korea does something stupid. Don't cheer for No. Korea while at the same time accepting money (with a big plastic smile) from the many So. Korean tourists and businesspeople here..

AmeriKKKa is cowering in fear & in a constant state of paranoia. It is now officially a schizoid nation. It's leaders are putting up a brave face but in reality...they are turning chicken yellow! AmeriKKKa's intrusion into Iraq & Afghanistan have spread thin their warm bodies & resources & they are also dealing w/ a paralyzing economic crises. GM just declared bankruptcy yesterday. This would translate into 23,000 job losses among GM's blue collar workers not including d job losses of its parts suppliers w/c would translate into a hundred thousand easily. It is imploding as we speak! AmeriKan capitalism is rearing it's ugly head & sacrificing d AmeriKan people in d altar of greed & lustful power.

simple ra kaayo i-sulti sa "EVEN OUT D PLAYING FIELD" pero grabe and results unya ani if ever a WAR will happen because of this so called effort of North Korea to even the playing field. and this isn't even about US vs NKorea. the issue here is more on Nkorea vs SKorea. remember, their war only ended in a truce so basically the war is not yet over...

yeah its very true... NK and SK never really had a treaty because NK never did sign the treaty made by the americans(I saw a documentary on that). Basically NK and SK is just having a very very long ceasefire thats what the documentary said.

IMO, North Korea, like any other sovereign nation in the world, has the right to develop it's own nuclear weapons program;

i don't think so. it's nothing like that. yes, they have a right for nuclear energy for peaceful uses but not the right for making nuclear weapons. As a UN member state, they should follow the Non-Proliferations of Nuclear Weapons Treaty (NPT) under the U.N. Dep't for Disarmament, just like what the US, UK, and other countries have been doing for years already. but so far, NKorea (just like Iran) has been doing it in defiance and in secrecy, and as some would say a provocation.

in case u don't know, the NPT is a landmark international treaty whose objective is to prevent the spread of nuclear weapons and weapons technology, to promote co-operation in the peaceful uses of nuclear energy and to further the goal of achieving nuclear disarmament and general and complete disarmament. The Treaty represents the only binding commitment in a multilateral treaty to the goal of disarmament by the nuclear-weapon States. Opened for signature in 1968, the Treaty entered into force in 1970. A total of 187 parties have joined the Treaty, including the five nuclear-weapon States. More countries have ratified the NPT than any other arms limitation and disarmament agreement, a testament to the Treaty's significance.
