So, a catholic has the option whom to submit whether to the pope in the vatican or to the orthodox church?

Aside if we Catholics are in a place in which no catholic churches and no catholic priest are present like most of the eastern european countries are, we can attend there mass and receive communion from there priest since they are valid

Well its not more like an option, since if your a catholic you should go to the pope not to the patriache of the orthodox church since were not orthodox.

Orthodox patriachs doesnt cosider the POPE as the head of the orthodox church however they respect him as " FIRST among EQUALS"

there allot of reasons why, base on historical facts, however whats important now there is already a dialogue that both churches will once again become one
