Dli mana cya unfair bro.. diskarte raman gyud na sa tao! Naa diha mga graduates pero dli kahibalo mo market sa ilang self so mao na dli cla makakuha ug tarong na job. Ang uban diha undergrad lagi pero ang experience nila in marketing ones self is excellent then makakuha gyud ug work.

The world we are in is very demanding in the sense that competition is really very hard. One must ready his/herself in the real world of chaos and competition and getting ready means having a degree is a must aside from purely experience. If you are that experienced and have papers to support well i'll tell you, you are indestructible.

i don't think nga during sa application processing kay madawat nang tawhana..
naay call centers nga ang ilang mga qualifying exams about english proficiency ra, wla nila gi-apilan ug technical exam.. (personal experience.. applied as tech support pero ang exam puro ra english..sayon kaayo).

That applies if a person had an experience as what you’ve stated above. What if a person who was applying for that kind of job was a first timer? How could he/she market himself/herself so that an employer may consider him as a prospective applicant? Call center agent maybe requires a much skill in English Proficiency not by knowing only how to speak but rather knows how to communicate in an understandable way.

naa man jud uban undergrads nga kamao na mu-utingkay ug mu-solbad ug problema sa computers, printers, digital cameras, projectors, celphones, PDAs, internet connection…..

How about if the customer’s who are calling ask on how to fix some kind of problems that requires theoretical and technical aspect!?

if we're still on the same page, you are like saying that nursing grads do not have any idea about being a call center agent. are you saying that agents under a banking and finance account should be accountants only? tech support agents are for the comp e, i.t., comp sci, ece only?

Maybe it depends on the Technical Support management of what qualifications of an agent they want to hire for an organization. If (if lang jud) a Technical Support Company are engage more likely in a technical matters, so there’s no questions of what applicants they want to hire….

Theoritical and Technical (actual/experience) is big plus factor of an applicant to market himself/herself for a certain job…

there are some students whose curiostiy exceeds his grasp that his knowledge is beyond what school can offer.
and that is what makes them qualified.

As of this generation, we must be competitive and we must show what we’ve got. Imagine every year how many college graduates who are searching for a stable job. Statistically! There were many unemployed (jobless) graduates who were now a bystanders because of a huge competition for a certain job.

An example of that was:

A Company was searching for a Pospective Design Engineers for company expansion, then that company requires/hires possible of 10 Design Engineers. Publish in a newspaper, so and so blahh…. Here comes 200 applicants! So now, out of 200 what probability is an engineer may be hire!? Competitions everywhere, so one must know tactics, technics, and strategies on how to market himself/herself in-order to acquire a job or else a stable job…. (base on my experience)

not only in english proficiency but also in spontaneity, tact and clarity of the ideas..
if an applicant aspires to be a call center agent,
then he should gauged in his technical, situational and customer service skills..

i never did say/express that companies are so dumb to be hiring such incompetent persons..
what i am also saying is that.. companies should have qualifying processes
that really only hire the best that our society can offer..

Yes maybe if a degree holder don't use it.... I don't think that education is more on theoritical, education helps a student to enhance his/her mentality skill...

As what you'd said, experience is must.... and education or degree might be a title! right? That statement applies only in a job that doesn't need any intellectual / innovative mind. How about working in a complicated jobs like designs, planning, computations, etc. ?

Like Engineering works, making a Bill of Materials, Computing Strength of Materials, Machine Designs as well as Power Plant Designs, do you think it is easy to make it without knowing any theoritical skills learned in school?

Don't tell me a 5 years skuling sa Engineering is just only a degree or a title? Experience is quite good but one should know the BASIC learnings from school....

all i'm saying is, not all who graduate college and earned a degree actually learned all that..

if i were da Employer depende nila ug kinsay mas kahibaw sa trabaho nga ako g.kinhanlan mao akong dwaton.. unsaon mana nkong nka Eskwela if ako xa pa trabahoon ug CAll Center Agent den dli kaau xa maau mo English.. wat if ang usa kay highskol graduate rah dn iya maau na kaau xa mo English coz iya family mag cgeg English .. dn ad2 q sa Usa nga Bisayang DAko Graduate ug college but YAya mo speak ug English...SO Ad2 q sa wala ka Eskwela But fluent xa mo speak ug English.. dba.....

Ako pud, if I were the employer, I would hire the person nga mas kahibaw sa trabaho... pero depende sad sa trabaho. Pero tagsa ra man pud ta makakita ug tao nga wa ka graduate/swkela nga pareha ug knowledge ug skills sa kanang nakaiskwela.

Case: You open a new diagnostic lab (like Stanford), unya kinahanglan ka ug med tech. Mangita gyud ka ug grad sa MedTech kay ma asset sya sa imong negosyo. Ngano mokuha man ka ug dili grad? Di man ka kinahanglan nila kay wa man silay skills ug knowledge nga pareho ug level sa graduate.Liability pa nuon sila.
