@Regnauld: ingun sa psalm 82:6: "For they have contrived with one consent: they have made a covenant together against thee..."
wala'y mention kabahin "gods."
sa verse sa book of St. John, i think wala na nagpasabot nga nag-ingun si Jesus nga literally "gods" pud ta, kay there can only be one God, og kita iya'ng creation, og pwede ta mahomong sama niya, pero dili literally pareha exactly niya.
Mao ba bro wala sa psalm 82:6
Unsa diay ni bro? Unsay version imong bibliya?
Psalm 82:6 >>
New American Standard Bible (©1995)
I said, "You are gods, And all of you are sons of the Most High.
GOD'S WORD® Translation (©1995)
I said, "You are gods. You are all sons of the Most High.
King James Bible
I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.
BTW,
Did I say that we are gods literally? No. We are part and parcel of GOD, that is why we are called gods but not the GOD who is the GOD all in all.We can be like Jesus who had realized his Divinity! Jesus was a perfect example and Jesus even said: "What I can do you can aslo do more than what I had done."

i agree nga kita'ng tanan ato calling is to be perfect, holy, pure, great, sama sa mga santos, pero dili mupuli sa throne sa Ginoo, kay we're not gods, pero we can become "like God" kay we are called to be "divine" man... ang definition ni God is that he is someone whose essence is existence itself, who already existed sa wala pa mabuhat ang kalibutan o ang universe, therefore he is outside time. maka-ingon ba ta nga kita pud, ato essence is existence, and have we existed for all eternity? no, we are God's creatures, not gods ourselves.![]()
@Regnauld: Douay-Rheims Bible ako gamit bro, pero ako pud gitan-aw sa ako'ng NRSV-CE nga bible, tua diay didto. sa Douay-Rheims naa diay sa chapter 81 ang imo gipasabot na verse.
interesting ang verse, pero dili man tingali nato dapat literal sabton kay ang sumpay sa verse kay, "...nevertheless, you shall die like mortals, and fall like any prince." (NRSV-CE)
interesting pud kay small letter "g" ang gamit sa "gods."
oo immortal ta pero wala nagpasabot nga Ginoo ta.
siguro naa'y lain shade of meaning ang "god" sa "God."
