tell that to those who insist on their faith is the IT deal. then follows up with the threats of fire and torture if somebody thinks twice about it. finally, gets insecure when questioned regarding such thing.
some people call to faith, others say "i dont know"...and a few who says "who cares?"
the point is, "your guess is as good as ours" there really is no need for quarrel issues.
Somehow I agree."your guess is as good as ours" there really is no need for quarrel issues.![]()
see, these kinda merits for something sarcastic...but will buckle down a bit.
are you trying to give faith a new meaning??
if you can reasonable satisfy something, especially with EVIDENCE and PROOFS. no need for faith then.
definition of terms:
faith (fth)n.1. Confident belief in the truth, value, or trustworthiness of a person, idea, or thing.
2. Belief that does not rest on logical proof or material evidence. See Synonyms at belief, trust.
3. Loyalty to a person or thing; allegiance: keeping faith with one's supporters.
4. often Faith Christianity The theological virtue defined as secure belief in God and a trusting acceptance of God's will.
5. The body of dogma of a religion: the Muslim faith.
6. A set of principles or beliefs.
in terms of FAITH...all faith based beliefs are equally on the SAME FOOTING. no need to quarrel.
“Reason is the greatest enemy that faith has; it never comes to the aid of spiritual things, but - more frequently than not - struggles against the divine Word, treating with contempt all that emanates from God”
-Martin Luther
^sizzlor You are barking on the wrong tree. I'm entitled to my own views/opinions right? It's not hurting you or your ideals, quit rubbing what you have on me.
But for the sake of it...
We all lust for reason, man does. But faith as it was defined generally is presented as something that is not compatible or does not need logical reasoning.
So I concluded, as my own opinion(and im not rubbing this to anyone) that the reason why faith does not require logical reasoning is due to the reason that it(the lust for reason) is satisfied by something divine, a God.
I can't hold but react. In the first place faith for me is when you do not need to be reasoned with because it is satisfied by something divine. You(me) still need it cause you(me) start with it.
duuuuh, here you go again hands.. imposing or what..? what..? what..?
