@gtjr...take note that cyber was maxing out the settings of his NFSMW to 4XAA..i dont think the 9200SE is capable of that settings.
ang radeon 9200se mao rag chip rv280 ug ang 9200 , 9250 mao na pwede ra ma tweak sa hardware or software side
lamia ana imong tweaks sa! hatagi daw ko bro. im currently using X850XT-PE ( its about 200x faster than a 9200 ) pero mo slowdown sa akong system. im maxing everything execpt shadow detail and car refelection update.. i play at 1600x1200 with 6x AA/16XAF basin with your tweaks and i get 100000000fps =) thanks in advance.
play the game, finish the game and enjoy it in those system config bilib ko nimo if ma buhat na nimo. im using my sisters comp which has a 9200 and a 1.5Ghz centrino and a 512MB of ram.. grabi ang slow downs even at 640x480 nya LOWEST tanan..Originally Posted by gtjr_ph

AFAIK 9200 cant use the latest shader models.. ive seen how NFS:MW runs on a 9200seOriginally Posted by cyber_urbantribe
maybe your 9200se is a quad core 1900XTX naka disguise =)
i suggest that u try these 3rd party drivers yourself para makakita mo ug unsay result. some are using Omega, other say that they do better with DNA, also a 3rd party provider.
some will have varying results, depending on system specs. by the way, to have a clearer info, here is my specs:
AthlonXP 2200+ tbred (unlocked) 9 x 200fsb
Asus A7v8xx board
Powercolor ATI Radeon 9200se with
Radeon Omega Drivers 2.6.75a (Catalyst 5.10a)
PQI 256mb PC400
Maxtor 40gb hdd
Lite-on cdrw
Thermaltake TR2-M2
AOC 17" non-flat
& some unimportant stuff.
when running NFSMW, background processes are minimal. shutdown adware, nod32. But before that, i do a mem defrag via TuneUp 2006 to unload unused DLL and processes from memory.
In game settings:
resolution: 800x600 on medium detail
advance settings:
no AA
Full world detail
medium texture detail
High Car Geometry
Low Car reflection
Low Update Rate
High Visual settings
I know that this seems impossible, but its what i have. I know that you were thinking that I'm setting the AA when in-game. that's not what i'm doing, cause that wud be virtually impossible for my specs. and there is no 4x AA option in-game, it will just be low or full. Ive tried playing the game using the original catalyst from ATI, but the graphics are not that cool, its just like the NFSU2. but when i started experimenting with 3rd party drivers such as Omega, i managed to unlock some cool settings, like the pixel shadowing style, the triple buffering. and i havent tried all of them. i just let my eyes judge what i have achieved, and i know that i have achieved much. i usually experiment my settings in-game by playing the #69 challenge series, the $500,000 bounty, where all those SUV's would chase you to death. so far, no lagging and graphic is cleaner.
please download this driver and try it for yourself. with my poor card gaining performance thru tweaks and settings, im sure that high-end cards will benefit the most, especially those with 16 rendering pipelines.
the ATI tray tool included in this driver is far too different from the previous release. the ATI tray tool here is more like the control panel of the driver. there are many options available. of course, combination of these settings will give you what you need, and it could also be the other way around.
and i created a new profile just now, cause of Swat4. which i realized is much heavier than NFSMW. so i decided to order a new Geil 512mb pc3200 mem so i could experiment more.
FYI, m here in leyte, so i let those arctech guys handle shipment of my hardwares via LBC. thanks to Tess.
Just download it, give it a shot.
