both are useful, if you're a good technician/carpenter then you must have
both flat and philips handy in your toolbox... ^^

usually the flat screw drivers fit both the flat screws and the philips screws

which is more useful screw driver or philip screw?

-philip screw is still screw driver-
-flat tip screw is called flat screw
-cross tip screw called philip screw..

but for me..more useful is the flat screw based on my experience!..

you cannot use philip screw when the bolt is intended for flat screw but sometimes use can use flat screw when the bolt intended for philip screw.

but more bolts now a days are made for both screws...
