Franchising is nothing like networking. frachising starts with an established business that the franchiser owns and have it available for franchising, meaning you buy the business and products, you do not earn through commissions but by the net sales of your products. You own the business. You decide how your business grows.
Networking starts with an established business which recruits members to buy their products and invite other people to join their network in return for commissions. Technically, you do not own the business, but you are an agent or a distributor. You do not decide what you can sell or change the marketing strategy the company imposes.
People are easily convinced that networking will help them achieve their goals quick. But I really question the stability and the longetivity of these businesses. The market they serve easily saturates because of the mere numbers of membership plus the lack of niche in the market. For example, lately the trends of these companies is to sell everyday products such as shampoo and toothpaste, how do you think they would fair with a product that has been around for decades backed with scientific studies and recommended by medical or dental associations? who do you think will be around longer?
