hahaha, I dont think Merriam Webster daghan ug sayop. Usahay discriminatory/culturally-insensitive siya but di pod na sila magpataka ug butang ug sayop nga meaning oi, mag himo na sila ug study over a period before magbutang ug entries. And I think it is also unfair nga mo claim ka ana pero wala kay proof nga gi present.
Ang ako man lang is to give credit to where it is due and to describe Pacman as a genius citing as reference a widely accepted authority which is Merriam-Webster. And if imo actually tan-awon ang meanings sa genius sa other sources, pareha ra so there's no point discounting how Merriam-Webster has many errors coz it does not particularly apply to the common operational definition of what genius is.
Mine was not a mere assumption that Pacquiao was a genius but was based on the universal definition of what genius is.
Going back on topic, Pacquiao's genius in sports may not necessarily mean he could be a good politician. Sports in itself requires a certain depth of intelligence in domains different to what it takes to become good at politics.
wla pa jud ka nahuman diay? nahala, watever helps u sleep at night: pacman is a genius![]()

what percentage of Merriam-Webster ang sayop? 1%? how significant. And by the way, the word in question here is genius, the definition found in Webster appearing to be constant to that of other sources.
narrow man gud kaayo usahay ang definition sa genius. Many only attribute the term only to formally-schooled individuals not realizing Einstein which is most popularly referred to as genius is even a dropoutAmen! With all that he went through naa pa gihapon doubt na bright siya. I'm sure ang mga langyaw didn't hesitate saying he was a genius. I should quote an article saying that 'he is on the same level with Tiger woods and other athletes' or something to that effect but kapoy pangita sa source oi. Hehe.
i used to look up to pacman, but when he ran for office in the last election, he became a sell out. although his intentions are good, its best for him not to go to politics, mao ra gyud na ikadaut niya
sa tanan na nakapaligid ni pacman, c chavit jud ang pinaka d nako ganahan...and atienza too. sus.![]()

dili pa gyud cya motagam nga katong ni-aging election dako kaayo cyag na totyo? Politics d gud na para sa iyaha.
sorry i did not read through...i was just pissed off by the idea of him in politics when apparently greedy interest is the motive of wicked politicians lurking around him....
i agree with you of pac being genius, in fact i'm a pac fan, but not in political domain...mostly argued because they define genius only to what has been stereotyped as ''bookworm-scientist type"...
and to add up to manny's credit, he's the only boxer who won 4 lineal championship and 2nd to gain 6 titles in 6 weight divisions(1st was dela hoya)...he's a hall of famer and a legend...
here are few links i suggest:Amen! With all that he went through naa pa gihapon doubt na bright siya. I'm sure ang mga langyaw didn't hesitate saying he was a genius.
