any energy is radiated and absorbed in quantities divisible by discrete ‘energy elements’, E, such that each of these energy elements is proportional to the frequency ν with which they each individually radiate energy, as defined by the following formula:
where h is Planck's Action Constant. Planck insisted[3] that this was simply an aspect of the processes of absorption and emission of radiation and had nothing to do with the physical reality of the radiation itself. However, this did not explain the photoelectric effect (1839), i.e. that shining light on certain materials can function to eject electrons from the material. In 1905, basing his work on Planck’s quantum hypothesis, Albert Einstein[4] postulated that light itself consists of individual quanta. These later came to be called photons (1926). From Einstein's simple postulation was born a flurry of debating, theorizing and testing, and thus, the entire field of quantum physics...
This is weird mr. HELL i find it very difficult to understand!![]()
^^ ahak nimo hell oiz!
bitaw, i'm not into the parallel universe concept. sounds completely impossible. unless i were to see it in an aspect of time travel where changes in our past could yield different realities. but then again, I also believe that it is not and will never be possible to change the past and that if we do indeed travel to the past, the changes we make could only mean that the change was meant to happen.
hello bai toks,
no probs, dude. i was just teasing our bible fanatics here. no pun intended, of course. as for the parallel universe thing, i don't know. i can't entirely dismiss the whole idea of different universes existing out there. if we are to follow a Tinamban Theory it's like this: let's multiply the number of star systems and we have a galaxy. let's multiply the number of galaxies and we have a universe. now, multiply that again. is it possible to have many universes too? ok, now for the parallel universe thing (diri ko ni-nosebleed), assume that there are infinite number of universes "represented" by the letters of the alphabet. just humor me with this one. ok, now, assume again that that "infinite" number of universes (the letters A - Z) are completed and counted already, so the parallel universe will be possible as it starts on a different "A" this time. weird no? i just had that realization while eating lucky me pancit canton.![]()
