Nope. Because the OS is using the hard drive.

unsa imo harddisk bro, SATA? naa man gud uban sata controllers ipakita niya as removable device ang imo sata disk. wat man imo mobo bro?

that's actually one feature of running your hard drive as AHCI. if hard drive is running AHCI, it is plug and play (removable), simply disable AHCI in the BIOS and set it to IDE and you'll lose the ability to remove the device in Windows but then again, you'll lose plug and play functionality as well as NCQ (native command queueing).

follow up question regarding this matter bro poldopunk

Will enabling or disabling the AHCI function of your BIOS affect the boot up time of your PC setup?

between SATA (AHCI) and IDE Emulation mode, you wouldn't feel the difference but from the benchmarks, the NCQ through SATA is useful only to servers where there are lots of queries which isn't the case on home-based users. There is a slight lower performance with AHCI enabled but again, you wouldn't feel it. The only advantage when running AHCI is that you'll have the option to remove device even when in Windows.
