    Default Virtual WinXP on Windows 7


    anyone tried this na? comments please sa kadtong naka try esp. kadtong softwares that run on XP only...




    hardware use:
    - Athlon64 X2 4800+ processor AM2
    - MSI K9N-NeoV3 mobo
    - Corsair CX400 psu
    - Nvidia 7950GT
    - Patriot Extreme Perf. rams 2x2gb
    - 200GB Seagate Sata2 hdisk

    OS:
    - Windows 7 RC(distributed via Technet)
    - Virtual WinXP update from MS

    As far as what I had read on the net. Mao na ila ra gi-virtual ang mga XP apps kay dako man gud ma-usab ang Windows 7 OS kung ilang i-integrate ang XP compatibility. Based pud sa lesson na learned sa Vista.

    unsamay nakalahi ani niya sa virtual pc for xp/vista?

    mao ra ba gihapon ang iyang hardware virtualization?
    i mean, if i have 9800gtx on my pc, ma detect ba gihapon sa windows7 virtual pc?

    the very significant difference is the explicit need for a cpu that supports virtualization. sad to say my E7400 proc doesn't support this.

    akong nasuwayan akong e8400 katong sa intel thingy, supported man sa akong cpu.

    btw,
    pede ba ni siya e install sa VISTA? or exclusive lang ni siya sa windows 7?

    i think sa win7 ra ni bro..
    naa ko ask

    if install nimo OS is win7 64bit
    your XP mode would be 64bit also?
    that doesnt makes sense at all coz 32bit mn ang "power" sa xp eheh

    This is pretty much just a built in license for Windows XP using Virtual PC. Download Virtual PC, and install XP.

    if naa virtualization support ang imo cpu bro, then maka-support ug 64-bit ang XP mode.

    it may be an improved/enhanced version of Virtual PC since it will be using the virtualization capability of the CPU.

    The end result ... what you already get with Virtual PC.
