Like I said I own these games yet I see myself as a normal person. You guys just tend to overreact, as always. The key issue here is merely self-discipline and maturity. If you have both, you can get into anything yet still keep the essence of being benign and sensible intact.

I concede that it may be too much for others, esp. conservative cultures and countries. However, I believe it is unfair to automatically generalize anyone as being "pervert" or "twisted" if one owned similar items. Are we therefore to conclude that Japan is a nation of perverts? Like I said before, everyone has his or her own limits/tolerances. It only so happens that Japan has a higher tolerance level in terms of such items than other cultures.

grovestreet is correct. I mean, some of you may have read "Fear of Flying"...it's a work of fiction...so (gasp) does that mean those who have read that book are now all perverts because they have started to imagine what it's like to have a "zipless ****"? Of course not. While reading it, you're fully conscious that what you are reading is a work of fiction. Same thing goes for these games. In fact, in some of them, you begin to understand the Japanese culture better.

I admit my fear is based on not knowing what these games will do to us eventually.

It would be good to monitor these activities closely and have long-scale researches done.

Personally, I think that rape is condoned in Japan. 'Rape of Nanking' and rape clubs come to mind. tsk
