personal accountability covers for things you DID. with purpose or not.

this is way past the CHANCE issue. and getting mixed up with the DESTINY part. lolz

i had this dilemma before also.. i got into a car accident.. and no matter how far accidents go, the bottom line is, i was the one holding the wheel..

as for other accidents.. like those buses falling off the cliff and you end up dead.. i dont know really.. you rode that bus, so its still bottom line for what you did. of course, you're not to blame for the accident, its just that you rode that bus.. if you didn't ride it, you would not have end up dead. simplistic na kaau ni..

yes, but there's a difference between wanting it to happen, yet still appear that you did it..

for these situations, saying its the will of God is somewhat tricky.. either you end up blaming God, asking why you? or you end up figuring out what you did that you deserve this "punishment" from God..

saying its out of luck, life goes on, shit happens, its a little easier on the mind.. and just be careful next time (if you survived the crash), or never ride a bus in Cebu again..

well it actually depends on your mental history, how you were raised the culture that affects the way you think, if you are so Catholic, it is God's will and there is probably a reason why it happened. But if you are not into religion, you would say things happens, this and that and you only have yourself to blame.

as i was saying if you think its chance or $hit happening, that's your thinking. i think it is God's will, so just let us be. stop raising issues whatever it is.

@bluedes, sorry for the car crash.. i sympathize.
but you survived.. damn $hit does happen joke hehehe...

I foresee that many people continue to lap up on gawd's will because it gives them comfort, a emotive response. It gives them spirit and meaning of their lives. It removes the fear and the nonexistence that many of us experience. Believing on gawd's will makes the life less confusing and much easy to deal with.

But for me? uǝddɐɥ op ʇ1ɥs

yeah.. on a more general note, people do that because they like to believe that all this happens because of a higher purpose that most of us can hardly comprehend..
