i don't know if it is because of my age or what but i suddenly have memories of old food and restos that are long gone. i'll be enumerating some of those that i can remember. please feel free to add to the list. if naa mo'y experience or ikasulti about the place or food then please feel free to do so.

1. people power curls (katong naay sticker sa sulod)
2. chickadees ug katong usa na cheese ug flavor (always with a free toy inside)
3. le pattiserie in ramos (ahh the baked mac and spag)
4. mama gie also in ramos (ukoy and palabok)
5. le france in park place (cream puff)
6. tung yan resto
7. lee garden (unahan sa cebu plaza)
8. great han (across cebu doc)
9. the boulevard (live pba finals and boxing matches)
10. lagkaw seafood resto in escario
11. katong murag diner na concept sa fuente where mercury drug is now. (i only ate there once and for the life of me i can't remember the name)
12. spanky's chicken
13. goldie (katong burger where shakey's fuente is now)
14. white clouds halo-halo
15. dairy king (or queen) (ice cream house where jollibee mango is now)
16. lawiswis kawayan (can't say much coz i never was able to eat there)
17. brownies fried chicken (where sungold is now tapad metro colon)
18. kan-on sabaw pork chop or bbq.. (for sacred heart boys only)
19. tower of pizza across cic (the first gourmet pizza in cebu. tasted great but quite expensive. i guess it was just ahead of it's time)

-that restaurant near CIT, south highway were Antonio's was before - the original cebu version of HOOTERS. and this was during martial law!!!
-that bikini bar at corner south expressway and v.rama that was bombed.
-the dance halls at juan luna beside cebu applaince center at the second floor-25cents for a dance with a "GRO". you buy tickets and give it to your partner.
-Happy Emporium, Paulino's, Cinderella's, Gazini Plaza, Plaza Fair, Fairmart, Sen Hiap Hing - all victims to malls and Gaisano stores.
-karnibals and holdam, - all victims to PSP and Playstation
-Lipps candy, timbura (corn snacks), chocnut (it's still around), Serg's chocolate, Nipps, Texas bubble gum, Bobot peanut candy, Sarsaparilla syrup (root beer), Kleeko, Lemon n' Lime, Teem (softdrinks), Choco-Vim (chocolate milk), hotcake (flour cooked over an open flame with star margarine and sugar), tira-tira (coconut candy),................

hahaha... grabe bro, murag mas naa kay edad nako da. don't forget FAIRMART and PLAZAFAIR. Wala nako apila ang pizza king kay dugay na sila ni abli ug balik. i just don't know if their pizza is still the same. i have yet to try it out. ug wa ka mo mention about goody goody di jud ko makahinumdum. i remembered na nagdate ko diha with only 50 pesos in my pocket nya mahal man diay. igo ra gyud nahurot ako kwarta. hehehe. memories..

na apil na nako ang plaza fair and fairmart. fairmart had a food court that served the best sphagetti at that time. the ding how original location was at the roof deck of that building that housed the cebu bicycle supply near oriente.

panahon nako, kanang php50 sa goody-goody maka palit na og 2 ka sundae and burger for me and sphagetti for my date. ang minimum nga plite sa jeepney anang panahona kay 50centavos. ang one semester sa BS architecture sa USC php800 only. ang plite sa USC Main to USC-TC piso ra dyud intawon.

ang brute burger tag php 4.00 only. ang steam rice sa ding haw php6.00.same price sa mga dimsum dishes.php 2.00 ra and softdrinks. busog na ka for less than php15.00. ang sine sa colon php6.00 ra. kung mag date, payts na nang php50.00, inclusive of food and sine.

karon, kung mag date ang akong anak, mangayo man og php 500.00. unya kanya-kanya pa dyud na og bayad....hehehehehe.

ahh.. those were the days.. what about saint gothard disco sa may wilson. kanang jive karon. naay bar sa taas nila before na cozy kaayo. it had billiards and katong first generation video games sa una nga mura ug lamesa ang style. food wasn't half bad either.
