Let me quote thisthere is still a missing link between man and ape
If you were talking about the homonoid gap and homonid gap.
Sad for you but the missing link is NO longer missing
A deed for humanities bettermentso you assent to the hundreds government laws? you must even pay your tax or else you suffer the consequences and some of it are rubbish. while the 10 laws of God are hard for you to take? without any tax!
That's what I'm doing
A deed than a plea
What a lie indeed!
Historical proof... do you have any other proof outside of the bible when the bible itself is the text in question?
I was talking about the history of Man's understanding of a divine being. Not exclusively related to religion.first of all, God as we know of him today was not a revision of the sun god you were talking about. you just said it is more of an explanation rather than a proof, well that's because you are smart and you know well enough to outwit your faith. well fine stick to what you think. science and religion are still oil and water. and talking about evolution and stuff, thousands of OPARTS are still unexplained by your "evolutionist" guys, and most of those(OPARTS) gives hints that man existed older than your evolution guys supposed to. and also.. there is still a missing link between man and ape.. there is still.
"smart enough / know well enough to outwit my faith".... I hope you do not interpret the faithful to mean those who are not smart enough or know well enough.
Science does not assume to know everything unless there is evidence to support it... Science presupposes nothing. Religion relies on faith and assumes to have an understanding of the world based on literary texts like the Bible.
What lower hierarchy are you referring to? please explain.yes, change it is the only constant thing. the whole idea of the religion itself does not need to change, but some aspects on the lower hierarchy do need to adopt the man and his culture. our religion has already thought us SO MUCH about God, wala lang tingale ka kahibaw mao nakaingun ka ana. it is we, who did not take it or failed to know or was not given the chance to know
Like I said... .religion, science and the many other machinations of man are simply tools to explain our place in the world. Religion has taught us so much... yes.. that presupposes that what religion has thought has always been right.. .which is not always the case.
If you consider holy men such as the Pope to be infallable then their teachings should not have changed over time and there would have been no need for apologies over the church's past actions.
The idea of infallability is problematic when you consider the church's reversals on their beliefs.
For me, only God is infallable, people who claim to be (infallable) in his name do so for religious power and control.
Sorry.. didnt get this part.. can you rephrase?and also there is nohting more to know about a being that supposedly be unfathomable by man.

How do we really know god exist?
i dont know,
reading it, second hand knowledge is not knowing,
faith & believing is not knowing,
patronizing an idea is not knowing,
but we can speculate, we can choose what to think,
but its not knowing,
