[*]Over charging. laptops stops charging when battery gets full and if the laptop is on, the laptop draws power directly from the outlet. you cant kill a laptop if you leave it plugged in most of the time. in fact not charging it does more harm. unplugging it while using it even though you have access to outlet is just a waste of battery life. batteries have life cycles...charge 500, 1000, 2000 times before they need replacing. unplugging it while you are using it just coz it says on the screen battery fully charged only wears out the battery faster

[*]Incorrectly replacing its batteries. Its impossible to insert a laptop battery incorrectly, else it wont fit! its like fitting a block into a circular hole. even a toddler can figure that one out.

[*] Leaving it turned on for too long. i have several laptop running 24-7 for many years hasnt killed one yet. i have it plugged in all the time. i use battery power during blockouts and few times a month just keep the juices flowing. battery life last longer that way

[*] Leaving it in a high humidity climate. here in the Philippines we are in a high humidity climate...can't be avoided. hundreds of thousands of laptop users here in the philllipines done seem to experience any issues with it. leaving your laptop in the car under the heat of the sun, now that should be avoided.

[*] Refusing to turn it off after it's become extremely hot. if a laptop becomes extremely hot then there is something wrong with it. it should be fixed. not being used! besides the laptop will freeze or shut itself off should that occur.
[*] Charging it in an area around too many other cords (extension cords, for example).
yeah you might trip or knock over the laptop. this is actually a good one hehe

marketing... ever saw one or three
[*] Switching to non-manufacturer batteries. Buy original brands over priced batteries...hehehe...
[*] Trying to repair or reuse a battery that has no more power. ayaw lagi mo pagdaginot sa inyong laptop...buy original brands over priced batteries lagi
[*] Using a charger that didn’t originally come with the laptop. hmmm, so that means if the charger blew up, got chewed by the dog/rats, lost, or soaked in flood water...even though the lappy is still in top shape, bury it and buy a new laptop of the same brand hehehe?

When your laptop gets too hot, you should turn it off or at least put it into Safe Mode. SAFE MODE?? seriously who ever made this guide doesnt seem to know what he is talking bout. safe mode is the same a having the laptop on. its not like sleep mode or hiberante mode or shutdown mode.

if your phone gets too hot, just turn it off completely. If you follow these rules, your precious devices will last much longer! if it gets too hot then there is something wrong with the phone/battery/charge...you should have it checked and fix/replaced not keep using (whoever wrote this sound dumber ever line he writes) how can it last longer when its already caput at that stage.

btw if you plug in a charger to a phone, it automatically initiates a startup (not complete bootup) thus there is no way to completely turn off a phone when a charger is connected to it. notice when phone is completely off when you plug in a charger it lights up and display is turned on,etc.

    I totally Don't Disagree!!!
