this is not about Tomas and the Garcias, this is about questioning the SRP which will be generally disadvantageous to the Cebuanos, fueled by politics and greed.

the reason why Cebuanos do not believe PJ even with all his proof and evidence is because wala siya'y moral authority to question the SRP-FLI deal even with all his textbook legalities.

is the ciudad project really for the good of Cebu or for the good of a few in power?
look at what happened to the CICC. . . overpriced. . . and a financial disaster. . . it was supposed to be a multipurpose recreation center such that it would make money. . . a sports center like abellana. . . etc.
architect medalle won the project fair and square but for some reason it was made into what is now the worthless CICC. worthless because Cebu does not need another convention center.

parehas ra mo ug linya ni @Lytsplr. it has been explained already that the CICC overpricing allegation has been refuted fairly and squarely. even the books are open to the public w/ even Leo Lastimosa and other media holding copies of the CICC docs for further scrutiny....

and what financial disaster? perhaps u r just getting confused between the CICC and the lamp post issue...

and by the way, the CICC's purpose is not always to make money...It was used for the Asean Summit last 2006. Perhaps naa gyuy income generating but the main and the meat of the purpose is not. The rewards for that kind of event cannot even be summed up into money figures but international goodwill, diplomacy, tourism, etc...The CICC is also being used now for trade fairs, conventions, exhibits and the like.

i know that the original plan was for a megadome but that was changed later on coz the Phils already committed to host the 12th Asean summit. and what better place to hold is in Cebu!

saying that the CICC is worthless is a falsehood...besides, naa ba diay international convention center ang Cebu other than CICC? what kad2 sa Waterfront? toinks!

and why build another sports center nga naa naman tay Abellana?
