enclosure cable problem

i have a problem with my enclosure cable.. everytime i transfer large file size (from or to my enclosure) the connection will be cut.. sometimes i can hear tiktak from the enclosure which is symptoms for power shortage.

now im looking for a usb - usb2.0 cable for my enclosure which will solve my problem..

what would be your recommendation/suggestion for this?

how long have you been using that external hdd?
what is the hdd capacity? how big of a file are you transfering?
when did you start having problems?
have you tried another cable? did it work fine?
how long is the cable?

i'm leaning towards imminent hdd failure, especially if you move it around a lot.
same thing happened to my friend's ext.hdd. good thing i was able to recover his files, 80GB worth.
better save your data now while you can.

what is the hdd capacity? --- 250G seagate for laptop(2.5)
how big of a file are you transfering? --- file size that problem occured 1G+
when did you start having problems? -- few days after a got the unit
have you tried another cable? --- yes (nokia cable - usb-usb2.o cable)
did it work fine? --- yes... but if much higher file size lets say 2G up, usahay balik nsad ang prob

lisud pud na mo tingog ang hdd hehehehe... murag lahi napud na... sa ako na case ako na bantayan dali ra jud maghuba kani bitaw "y-usb cable" if maka try kag palit katong direct usb bro sa akong gi post sa imong thread i think maka help na bro.... palit og philips na enclosure kay direct to usb deli naka gamit atong y usb cable... mao pud akong gamit so far la jud blema... if nahan ka then go for silverstone enlosure para sureball

yup... ang free nya na cable pag palit ky y xa bro.. but maputol jud lagi ato nya bro.. basg ang 2 na ka usb ako g.gamit. maputol jud ghapon xa..

dapat jud cguro direct bro, +shielded and with inductor core at at both ends para mas sure sa?

sir paliti na ug usb cable nga daku ug wire unya kana mobo(short). ayaw gmit ana mga usb cable pang mp3 ug psp.pangita lang dha mga celshop kilid2.

^^ wla lagi brod.. nig pangutana nako wala gyud permi.. nahurot na gud nako sm suroy wala jud.. sa octagon rako kita.. but nipis raxa but shielded nsad nuon.. pero wala pa sad nuoy inductor core.. libog lagi ko kng paliton nlng ba to nako or d..
