Rep. Eduardo Gullas: he lauded Garcia for “a very well-researched and well-crafted privilege speech. I believe the Cebuanos and the City of Cebu are getting the short end of the deal. Many of their agreements are disadvantageous to (them),” he said.

Rep. Benhur Salimbangon: "it is incumbent upon Congress to look into the joint venture agreement to protect the interest of the public.” He said that even non-Cebuano congressmen were surprised after hearing Garcia’s allegations on the Filinvest transaction. Salimbangon stressed, however, said that city officials should be given a chance to answer the “serious accusations” raised.

Rep. Raul del Mar: “A congressman has the right and privilege to deliver a speech or file a resolution calling for an inquiry if the matter is deemed appropriate."

NOW U TELL ME CATEGORICALLY NGA SAYOP ILANG GPANG SULTI...

and remember, six out of Cebu’s eight members at the House of Representatives already expressed their support for the congressional inquiry.

wa ko'y bolang kristal but knowing our politicians not only the 6 (probably the other 2 nakasakay sa SRP-FLI deal) they never create friction if there is nothing in it for them but as usual being the textbook person that you are, you will say that is just my unfounded opinion.

usik2 lang ka ug explain ug quote coz you entirely missed the point, okay ra man ng questionon ang SRP kung naa gyud irregularilty BUT, the big BUT is the timing, personalities involved, the motive, the forum where it is questioned and the wisdom of the higher good for Cebu.

4] tommy did more for cebu city than gwen did for cebu province. you want proof? gwen is more interested in province-owned lot in Cebu City rather than spending her time, effort and money to "further" develop the province. if i were gwen, i will bring the business to the province and i mean real business, dili ng flimsy, highly media-covered projects.
