So that's how you see children? As human beings who have no choice but to take care of you when you grow old?

I will grow old alone...if I cannot walk anymore, I'll die where I fall down. I don't want to use someone else's freedom, especially my child's freedom, just for my own benefit.

This is the hinungdan nganong DAGHAAAAAAN kaayong unhappy people in the world, especially in the Philippines...these people are slaves of their own aging parents...dili makaboot sa ilang kaugalingong lives. Initially, you would think these people to be noble in their efforts, and maybe it's true--on the outside, people say "What a great son, he stayed with his aging father, or what a great daughter, she sacrificed that great job just to be with her old mother"...but, sa tinuod lang...deep down inside, these people are very much in torment and angry nga they are slaves to their condition and cannot truly enjoy lives outside their current situation.

it's not that the parents wouls force their children..it's the child's decision if they would take care of their parents til the day they die..it's not like she is generalizing..she's just setting it as an example..

    Point taken.

However, while I do agree with you, it still doesn't change the fact that the miserable people I've been talking about are still miserable and irritable. It's the type of person you encounter in your day to day activities...say, an irate cashier at a grocery store...let's say she seems very irritated nga wala ko'y change, or etc. Most people will leave the store feeling angry at the cashier...but me, I never become angry if she is irritable or irate...I just think "This girl must be 'trapped' in a situation where her parents are choosing the path in her life...she is not free. Maybe she wants to go to the movies tonight, yet she has to take care of her grandmother...so, she is venting her anger/wrath at work...I shouldn't be angry at her...she is in a sad predicament...it makes me sad..."

Similarly, people who are irritable, excitable, irate, in iStorya, must have similar 'entrapments' in life pud, mao nga diri sila ga gara-gara, ga bugal bugal, ug just venting...again...same predicament...it makes me sad...

And again, I just want to repeat...the world is so full of sad, trapped people.

Good thing that you change your mind.
Pray lng jud, you can surpass this.. Dont make the same mistake as what your parents did nga gipaadopt nlng kay. you don't want your child to experience this situation also.
