Noticeable difference is really very subjective, there are even those who cannot tell the difference from 1024x768 lowest settings to 1920x1200 highest settings with max AA/AF, I envy those who cant tell the difference lots of $$$ saved.



Makes me wonder why you have a GTX260 instead of a 4850 and a Q6600 instead of a E2180, theres zero difference in them as you said.

I beg to differ, I also play at 1680x1050 on a 22" and the GTX285 gave speed i wanted over the 4870 1GB.. the 6k difference is worth every penny.

Correct, i prefer to play my games as close to 60fps as possible.. i came from a 8800GT and tested the 4870 1GB performance on the games i play.. kuwang gihapon.. when i got the GTX285 i held a constant 60fps over the sub 50fps from the competition.

Hehe swerte, ako wala nai ni gasto nako for PC upgrades since ni graduate ko ug highschool.. i never though maka kwarta ug maka tigum ko para sa akong mga rigs ni agi.. so far with gods blessing naka sapi pa jud hehehe

at some point naay 9.5k nga gtx 260 216sp sa tpc,.

260 is atbang sa 4870...
e overclock ang 260 mo match2 na sa 280@stock, but definitely not with the 285.
so at that point 260 > 4870 at a lower price.
one more thing is the physx. nice na feature pero dli tanan games naa ani nga tech
so you could turn off physx and get 5-10% increase in performance.

another thing is the idle power consumption sa gt200 cards sa nvidia is very low.
kung mag cge kag torrent aw ok ra,

if ganahan kag futureproofing and not planning to upgrade very soon go for the 285 or the 4890(gawas na ba ni?)

and lastly what ever your call is, its a good choice, .. its really good to have a budget for a gpu like that

If you trust guru3d then you might be interested in this review, in this review the 4890/GTX260/275/285 is compared. The performance numbers on ATI is actually quite good in this review but still it lags behind the GTX260 in most tests.
