The GTS250 is slightly faster than the 4850 since the 9800GTX is on par with the 4850.

Depending on your gaming and visual preference, no card will really last more than 1year aside from the 9700Pro(1yr+) and 8800GTX (2yrs+). The GTX285 is really that powerful and will last you for some time that i am sure.

I beg to differ, I also play at 1680x1050 on a 22" and the GTX285 gave speed i wanted over the 4870 1GB.. the 6k difference is worth every penny.

Noticeable difference is really very subjective, there are even those who cannot tell the difference from 1024x768 lowest settings to 1920x1200 highest settings with max AA/AF, I envy those who cant tell the difference lots of $$$ saved.

Makes me wonder why you have a GTX260 instead of a 4850 and a Q6600 instead of a E2180, theres zero difference in them as you said.

Well we really cant say that its "Ignorance" since it is a visual perception thing, maybe "Blindness is a bliss"
