I think capitol is hitting back and rightly so since ang city hall man ang gauna una pangaway. Mao nay gi ingon, "walay sukodsa balos
Mas lig on ang mga lawyers sa capitol kay sa city hall. Walay Bar Topnotcher sa city hall sa capitol si pablo john ug si nong Pabling mga bAR tOP NOTCHERS
Being a good lawyer does not mean being GOOD, but good at going around the law. For me, that's what Gwen is doing right now, she knows she can't beat Tomas so she calls for back-up and in the process brings the TOMAS vs GWEN into a City Hall vs Capitol. That's the only way she can have the advantage.
Just because we have the global crisis means we have to tolerate anomalous transactions like this FLI deal ug basta nlng mka kuha ug investor sa aning hiwi nga paagi.
as i've said again earlier, we should not right a wrong with another wrong...

the issue is not about how good a lawyer is...the issue is more about if the questions raised against the shady FLI deal are valid or not. Clearly they are.
You cannot dismiss it anymore as a ranting of a political rival.
If you want to dismiss it only that way, then we are no concerned Cebuano...we are no longer thinking of our children's future for that matter.
ang angay kasab-an ani ang mga City Councilors why up till now they are not disclosing the real issues about the FLI deal, but only resorting to wallow in generalizations and not answer the specific questions raised point by point. why wait for Tomas to come back when they themselves are capable to answer? are they afraid of something or somebody?

‘Textbook case of plunder’
Sun.Star Daily
Monday, April 13, 2009
REP. Pablo John Garcia (Cebu, 3rd district) continued his questions against the Cebu City Government-Filinvest Land Inc. (FLI) deal, calling it a “textbook definition of plunder” and not a joint venture agreement.
In a press statement, he questioned why the City will only get a net share of nine percent instead of 10 percent, which was stipulated in the agreement.
FLI has won the rights to purchase 10.6 hectares of the South Road Properties (SRP), and is already in possession of the titles of two hectares after a P348-million down payment.
Aside from the outright sale of 10.6 hectares, the City has also entered into a joint venture agreement with FLI for 40 hectares.
Garcia, explaining why the City will only get nine percent rather than 10 percent, said that under Section 8 in the agreement, the city agrees to pay seven percent of the gross selling price to FLI through sales commissions and marketing expenses.
This, he said, leaves only 9.3 percent for the city.
“This is not a joint venture, this is a textbook definition of plunder,” he alleged.
He said that with it already not getting the lion’s share in the JV, the City will also have to spend on road networks, drainage system and utilities, as stipulated under Section 10 of the contract.
This, he said, is aside from the fact that the City contributes the land in the transaction.
In most joint ventures, Garcia said, the property owner can have as much as a 40- to 50-percent share and will only contribute the land. The partner, meanwhile, will spend for the entire development of the area.
“I challenge Filinvest to name a development anywhere in the country, or even the world, where the lot owner contributes not only the land, but also hundreds of millions…(in) development cost and gets only 10 percent of the venture,” the congressman said.

LISOD NA KAU MGPAKA BUTA BUNGOL NLNG TA karong panahona...
How long also does the province answer all the questions raised about the CICC project?Nitubag ba gud dayon sila diha2x?
Raboy50: Correct. That's how unfair politics is here in the Philippines. Power is everything and that's what counts. Sad to say that "ni daku lang gyud ang ulo sa mga Garcia's", boy I would love to see them loose and be a good sport and wlay protest.
Maayo unta i-open and scrutinize ang CICC issue. And not to stray far from the issue, but GSIS is such a failure if you guys have not heard. Wala lang gyud ma balita kaayo kay damay si madam president. Did you hear any positive news after the failed MERALCO takeover?! shhh....
Back to the topic...
Giddyboy: No offense, but it's either you are being brainwashed by the Garcia's, they paid you a lot of money or did something that made you swore your loyalty to them due to the ferocity on how you defend them and I admire that. For the record, the Osmena's nor any of the City Hall employees did anything for me. I just believe in them, but not fanatically.
Direct to the point:
Do you really believe the Garcia's intentions are purely for the interest of the Cebuanos and not their own?
If Yes, are the Garcia's "Saints" who does not even "think" of any slightest bad intentions?
If No. AMEN.
