it is called a person's Point of View, not yours not mine but his. if you say think about it your making restart on the whole loop you already passed. if you don't believe, won't hurt our a$$ and won't make our God unreal.

doesn;t matter how many sperm will fertilize the egg, only one soul will thrive on it and that soul is you. not chance but miracle, cause no matter who owns that sperm, if it's you on your respective mother's womb then it is you, as planned by God.

better start from our God who lives in our hearts and in our mind than start from something that does not live even in your mind.

before you put your god into PLAY, be aware also that he/she/it is subjected to scrutiny here. keep the FAITH. read my post again im not trying to DISPROVE your god's existence. i was only pointing out a FLAW in the manner of "god did it" arguments. dont take it personal.

i was merely reacting on this one from the quoted essay:
There is no third way. Spontaneous generation was disproved one hundred years ago, but that leads us to only one other conclusion, that of supernatural creation.
i dont see any reason why MAGIC should be involved here.

and to stir things up, from the LOT of supernatural creation stories/methods out there. it so happens to be of YOURS. why and how the frell did that happen? spare us the circular reasoning if you may.

i dont give a hoot about the soul argument. all i know is there's a lot of sperms and an ovum involved. and only one sperm to rule them all.

We can prove God's existence by using logic while not appealing to the authority and that's what probably the thread setter was asking for. I am not discrediting the authority of God's message in the bible because Im also believer of the bible. For me if you see to prove then you make an argument that include valid demonstration and inference. In this case faith is another issue. Here's my idea in which I believe it includes a logical reasoning from the aspects that we will see (material) to the abstract ideas that we cannot see (Spiritual).

What we observe in this universe is contingent (i.e. dependent, or conditional)A sequence of causally related contingent things cannot be infinite. The sequence of causally dependent contingent things must be finite

Every existing thing has an explanation of its existence, either in the necessity of its own nature or in an external cause. If the universe has an explanation of its existence, that explanation is God. The universe is an existing thing. Therefore the explanation of the universe is God.

Whatever begins to exist has a cause. The universe began to exist. Therefore, the universe has a cause. and the Uncaused cause is God.
