    Default Motivational Dog Training

I'd like to share my motivational method of training. In this video im training a 3/month old pup from Atty. OSORIO, currently boarded for OBEDIENCE TRAINING. We are in the first session of teaching the "STAND" command. As you will see from the video, I don't use hand movements to lure the dog into a position, I let the dog think and offer behaviors so that that the dog is constantly problem solving. This will come handy in the future when you will teach the dog complex tasks and the trainer can just stand there and wait for the dog to figure out what you want her to do.

I hope you will find something useful from this.

In my last post, I talked about letting your Dogs think for themselves. I even described a circumstance where the trainer can just stand motionless and let the dog figure out what you want him to do.

Here's a nice example of that. I am in the early stages of teaching my dog how to open a door.

i think he is using the clicker method. clicker is a treat by itself

i tried clicker with praise as a "treat". not as effective siguro compared to a food treat; but good enough for me nga dili maanad ang dog for food(which i dont have most of the time with me)

    Default treats

dili maanad ang dog for food(which i dont have most of the time with me)

the people training at northtown are not using clicker but are also using sausages as treats, does this mean that they have to have this treats with them all the time. This treats are only transitory and only an aid in training and can be done away wth eventually as training progresses
