ask lang ko sa mga specs nindot for gaming just dont mind the price
X2 series/Opteron 165-180/A64+/FX series (but for some games like BF2 you will have to disable one core. but in the near future game developers are going to use the full potential of dual cores.)
a good mobo that cost atleast P7,000.00 (because anything u put there that cost 10k up will melt that mobo. ex. 6800/7800 @ sli mode). like nforce 4 are good. most OC'kers uses DFI,MSI K8N (not the neo series), Epox, ASUS (not sure about this one, some says it doesn't oc that well)
a good mem atleast pc3500 or better a pc4000 dual channel to get a better hit on OC.
a 10,000RPM harddrive like cheetah or Raptors(76gb for raptors cost around 11k @ A.I ambot lang sa lain).

    X2 series/Opteron 165-180/A64+/FX series
    DFI,MSI,EPOX,ASUS,ABIT,GIGABYTE (havent tried other brands)
    OCZ,Redline Mushkin,Corsair,Kingston Value series @ PC3500/PC4000
    BFG 6800GT/7800GTX OC or EVGA 6800GT/7800GTX K.O
    WD RAPTORS/Cheetah/Caviar

@Earlz: Sandiego, u can hit 2.8 @ stock air with no hassle. some can hit with 3.0~3.4 but i havent seen it actual though.

you dont need those procs unless you really need to do something specifically from them on work related projects. any good setup will do for now.

OT: intel wont go anywere, maybe the next 50 years if they make a marketing mistake and go bankrupt, but not in our lifetime thats for sure.
