^ Those could be some of the reasons bro that people have.

^ From my own point of view, faith is quite difficult to explain.

I remember one author who said that God communicates to us in a variety of ways. He can speak to us through reason, experience, history, emotions or relationships, and the Scripture.

For my part, I came slowly to believe when I joined a local community. I met a lot of great people there, had a lot of fun, and learned many things. We heard many talks and went to retreats, and faith in God sort of like just stuck with us. It was a given, after all we're all Christians. (I guess I have my parents to thank for that, because I was born a Christian, but only later did I began to appreciate it.) My experience with that community simply reinforced my faith. Looking back at it, my experience wasn't really something that I can consider as a proof for God's existence. That wasn't what it was all about. I think that faith is importantly a personal matter, a matter which each one of us have to decide on. I think there is a difference between knowing your faith to be true, and showing it to be true.

    C. S. Lewis said, "I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen -- not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else."

That's kind of how I see my faith. The Christian vision of things makes sense of a lot of things in my life and how I view the world.

that's your Higher Self speaking to you sir. it's within you. it doesn't have to come shining down from the skies inspired by a white dove or trumpets blaring church music.

yup i agree... laziness, if people can't account for something, they'll say "god did it". They always have answers.

let's say someone dies in a car accident. Some people would just say "it was god's will" or "it was just his time". This type of mentality is just naive, it stops you from thinking further... how do we design roads that minimizes this kind of accidents?

GOD: I will kill both of you whether you like it or not and regardless of your religion or whether you read the bible or koran!
