yup... i have a free web host.. nya it has 10 gig space and 10 gig bandwith..

and you have an internet connection with 5mbps, right?

To host your website/blog/whatever, you could do this:

1. Install Apache (or other webserver on your PC).

2. Install PHP and MySQL (optional, depends what you want to host...)

3. Test it locally by accessing http://localhost or http://127.0.0.1

4. If all is working as it should, give your PC a static IP, within the subnet of your router.
Lets say, the router is at 192.168.0.1, then you could set your PC to 192.168.0.2 for example.
Next, open port 80, means, forward requests to port 80 in your router to the IP you just have given your PC (192.168.0.2). Withi this, the server is accessible from the "outside world".

5. If you have a static IP, you should be able to access your server via

http://your.static.ip

Note, the static IP is NOT the static IP you have given your PC, its the static IP you will get from your ISP!

If you want a domain name, there are some additional steps to do...

i would like to make my own hosted blog site.. same time a streaming site for videos.. or files for downloads...

okay raman cguro kung maghost ka ug imong blog site. then kung nahan pud ka maka butang files para download nimo, pag install ug ftp server. dali raman kaayo na. pero kung mag streaming ka ug videos, murag dili ko suweto ana. make sure lng nga original copy na imong movie.

as for vulnerability, hehehehehe, kana cya kay murag kuyaw2x na. lisud mangud kaayo bro kung naa mo hack sa imong site kay derecho mangud sa imong pc. example lng ha: naa mag brute force attack nimo. basin unya dili naka maka access sa imong system kay hinay najud kaayo. wala ta kabalo naa diay lain IP nag cge ug connect sa imong system.
