    Default Notebook Internal Display Is Fuzzy and/or Blurry

    All Notebooks with Windows XP and a TFT panel.

    This issue may have to do with Windows XP, ClearType being enabled. ClearType improves font display quality over traditional font smoothing or anti-aliasing. ClearType improves readability on color LCD displays with a digital interface, such as those in laptops and high-quality flat panel displays. Readability on CRT screens can also be improved. Enabling ClearType is subjective from one user to another.

    To disable ClearType un-check this option:

    * Right Click the Windows XP desktop and select Properties
    * Click the Appearance Tab
    * Click the Effects Button
    * Uncheck the box to "Use the following method to smooth edges of screen fonts"

    in my case, i actually like to keep cleartype on. It looks more comfortable to the eyes especially on LCDs.

    If your monitor is blurry, you might want to check if your resolution is set at the screen's native setting. If it is not set at the native setting, things tend to appear blurry.

    This is the most common problem i've seen. Many monitors or screens dont run on their native resolution.
