enermax, is that generic? if youve spent for such a card might as well spend for a reliable PSU

Nindot na na brand bro pero nihit pangitaon. Sa games bro ang ATI drivers ok ra? Coz 3 years ako mag ATI unta ko but mao ta daghan ka extra i install for the game to run smoothly

di naman ko maka OC sa same settings sa akong 8800GT Sonic sa new quad P45 platform nako be it old Vista install or new (same drivers). i get BSOD everytime i play 3D games, same error. tried some tricks pcie freq or a very stable OC sa quad/mobo pero di jud mada. negligible raman nuon kay d ko ka ka notice sa performance loss, mas huge na gain nako sa quad OC kay di naman ko ka kitag lags with Crysis (not so full enthusiast settings). dismaya lng ko gamay heheheh basin na mo ideas diha...

when i installed the vcard, i decided nga mag-fresh intall gyud ko ug OS, cause that 4650 is inilis na pud na nako gikan atong 2650XT nga akong gipalit nga cge ug crash, mao gihapon tong 2650Xt always VPU error and crashes on 4th-6th VPU error. so when i got the 4650 as an exchange nag fresh install ko sa OS, limpyu tanan... mao ra man gyud gihapon.
but one thing i noticed, during the initial installation i run my puter with the 4650, so it kept on getting errors and it was already running for more than 48hours and already experienced many VPU errors, when i disables the vpu-feature on the catalyst, everytime mo hang ang vcard it would resort to a blue screen.

wala na gyud koy laing alternative aning vpu?
it freezes my pc for almost 20 seconds, samok kau magkulba-kulba paka magkalisod kay basin mo restart

Bro after trying two cards could it be your computer thats the problem? what it could be is that hardware problem, try returning it to PCX, what power supply do you have? is there anything that could be grounding the card? and is your case cooling enough?

alot of factors could affect the card and if its none of the above then its the card.
again you dont mention what version number of catalyst you have. try rolling back with the CD drivers to see if that would give you better results

bro ati drivers are great, you dont need to uninstall and reinstall, just update. also latest usually yields fastest and more FPS,

tell me a game, il tell you ive played it on max 1680x1050. except crysis and GTAIV, everything else works like a charm. although i have to try empire total war pa xD

im on a 3870, ive tried on a 4670, dunno about his 4650

Did a quick googling on the 4670, they seem to be on par with the 9500/9600GT

@lokster, sir im sure wala prob sa akong rig, the catalyst im using now is the latest 9.2 from ati's site.
asus' 8500gt survive my current set-up but only on a lower end kay mas hinay man siya kumpara sa 4650, wala may prob ang asus, dili lang ko ka set ug high setting sa graphics kay mo lag... ang ati na noun ang mag cge ug crash .

3870>4670=3850>4650 , thats how i rate the midrange ATI cards based on experience and reviews.

mao na lang gyud na akong nahuna-hunaan, ilisan ko ni ug Nvdia, pero agwanta lang sa ko ani.. ako lang ni ayum-ayuman, i can't eat pcEx's 20% charge when returning items beyond 2 days from buying.

maghuwat na lang ko makatrabaho. tiguman ko tong evga nga board ug ang 3way nvdia sli

theres a direct replacement for it if it breaks down in a month, no charge, that 20% restock fee is if you replace it with another card. when i changed my 4670 i talked to the technician and we worked things out, i payed extra for a better card with a bigger fan and better cooling. guys at PCX are alright in my book,
