DONT use the catalyst in the CD, its old, download the 9.2 version from the website.

just got a new asus radeon 4850 for my girlfriend's computer (care of sir Lunch). the card runs really hot, pero sir Lunch was kind enough to throw in a free Arctic Cooling Accelero S2 plus a 120mm fan to keep it cool. card idles around 35 degrees, at full load mu range cyag 42-46 degrees. amazing hehehe...

its a big ass heatsink, which does the job perfectly. na cyay heatpipes and lapad ang fins niya, so heat dissipation isnt a problem. imu pa jud butangan ug fan, smooth sailing. more headroom for OC'ing your card hehe. here's a photo. really excellent product.

I'm having a problems w/ my 256mb 128bit AGP x8 Video Card, When I plug it in my Mobo, It will restart or it will show a blue screen. My mobo is Asus P4S533-MX. Hope someone can help me.

if you have previous vcard drivers uninstall it.
update your vcard's driver, avoid using the driver from the cd, get the latest from the site.
try to isolate the vcard to confirm if it's defective.

that's what happened to my ati vcard, now its stable.

im sure your card looks like this and your fan is just as small.

my temps of my 3850 averages 34-40 on idle and 55-60 on max load.

ive been on for 48hours+ now and playing games and browsing, randomly, i havent turned this computer off yet, and its still working like a charm, stable as it should be.

i wonder with your temps your card might just burn out eventually if you dont lower temps. i bet your max load will hit over 80+ C
