Atheism a Religion? NIce Religion for the unbelievers!

Thom Hartmann argued for that premise, saying that atheism is a system of belief that often inspires its adherents to spread the word evangelically. Hartmann also tried to say that the only true atheists were agnostics, because agnostics “don’t know” and therefore rarely proselytize, whereas atheists proselytize and therefore have an evangelical belief system, also known as a religion.

Atheism Is a Religion and Richard Dawkins Is Its High-Priest

I argue that any rational person, who has no concrete spiritual beliefs or sentiments, would best be calling himself or herself agnostic rather than atheist. The typical atheist beliefs in evolution theory as a way to describe and understand the living nature. However, since there were no human witnesses to the birth of life on this planet there is no real reason to assert that life has spontaneously emerged out of lifeless inorganic matter.
As such, I dare say that atheism, by and large, is more of a counter-movement denying, through belief, that which is upheld in spirituality and religiosity - namely that life was created by a metaphysical force or being. On the other hand I argue, that this is not to say that I believe evolution theory is without merit, but when it comes to describing the cause of life it simply falls short of supplying convincing evidence to this effect. Therefore, by necessity, the tenets of evolution theory are not fundamentally different from the principles of traditional religions or spiritual doctrines.

the information that science has right now about evolution MAY not be substantial or adequate to fully unravel the mysteries of the beginnings of life..but the foundations are enough to illicit a serious look and approach on its validity rather than dismissing it as mere whimsy..it is there for everyone's perusal and research..the whole thing isn't final but a work in progress..and about dawkins being considered as atheism's high priest..i beg to differ there're others pa..si dawkins nipili lang sa limelight to assert his ideas as much as any other religion is asserting their own interpretation of the bible..dawkins has science to back up his claims..it's normal lang nga daghang detractors kai in my opinion dawkins isn't the pinnacle of the entire evolution theory..his research can be further improved by people who share dawkin's ideas..in a world of full of religion it's normal lang in my opinion nga iparehas ang atheism sa usa ka religion kai mao mai namat-an ug mahayag..and about the creation being fundamentally similar to evolution..i beg to disagree..and would gladly read supporting facts on why it is asserted to such...
