sa cebu?...a resounding WALA!!!!!!!....sa manila naa cguro saw this one sa ilang yellow pages when i went there last christmas..Innova8 animation academy pero haven't been there pa to confirm it..naa man daw nas ortigas..nway kng sa states..aw ang pinaka trusted ug sikat nga CalArts(california institute of the arts) or formerly known as Chouinard Art Institute pero in decline naman daw ang quality sa mga graduates karn pero most of the current top notch animators and animation directors e.g. Brad Bird, Glen Keane, Andrew Stanton etc. alumni sa CalArts..ang ganahan nako dha kai naai OJT sa Disney, Pixar or any top animation studios..

san carlos!?! muhimo ug animation course?!? hah! fine arts ko sa usc sa una..and kinsay mutudlo? si paredes?..god! maypa ako nlang ipalit ug mga animation books ang akong igasto ana!..unless naai banggiitang mutudlo..and usa pa unsai igasto sa san carlos?! mupalit silag animator's table?..i'd love to see the course outline...as much as i am a carolinian and a fine arts product pero i doubt kng nindot ang training sa ilang animation didto..not unless gastuhan sa mga pari and brand new ang mga teachers for animation and most importantly competent

haha. sakto jud bro. pero i think what they are teaching is not a course nga pila ka years man tngale.
its just a course=subject. its an optional subject for those who are interested to learn. too bad i was no longer there to investigate further and know everything they have. but its a fact. haha. well ask some younger carolinians unya f they know about it.

but actually, its a good start baya. its a good thing they are offering it. though basin dli comppetent but atleast it would encourage some fine arts students to learn animation. hehe

mura mag ilad na na bro. ok ra untag parehas rag summer thing or one sem thing..pero if they will put it as a sort of BFA Major in Animation nah!! i think i have to see the course outline and the teachers and most of all the facilities i don't mind paying a hundred thousand pesos or how much..bsta sulit sad ang akong nakat-onan..sa akoa gani opinion murag dli naman na applicable gani ang manual illustration sa san carlos karn..i mean cguro during the 80's i just don't see the wisdom nga nganong i render pa man nimo manually ang usa ka layout sa perfume? cge muingon silag para makat-on sa pag render pero dba that's the work of the illustration subjects and god! hangtod karn pa ba uso pa ba nang muhatag kag product proposal in manual rendering?!!? ambot lang disgusted kaayo ko sa pamalakad sa FA karn sa san carlos oi..it's totally waaay below the line..reklamo sila nga low kuno ang enrollment turnout..ang2x you guys are sticking to an archaic course outline with a 60's-80's approach on advertising..hehe!! nag rant jd ko!

anyway, about animation. its a good thing that its just an optional subject. you are right, no one is competent enough to teach good animation.haha

but i do hope we could make it here in cebu soon.

in my opinion for animation to succeed in the philippines the cartoons should be aimed to adults well im saying dli sya goody2x ba..we can't compete with cartoon network here sa pinas..aim for the adult audience well not necessasrily adult themes but stories, concepts that tickle the fancy of the adults..and in my opinion dli jd na mupatok dha2x dayon cguro naai hype..PERO if naai stream of animation products one way or another the people will take notice..until something will hit the audience and will create a cult-following..the challenging thing lang is to make cartoons not because for someone else but for the love and the PURE love of animation..hehe!! lisod kaayo ni oi..for a 3rd world country like us wherein money is everything..mao nga kinahanglan jd nga dli i mainstream ang animation dri..kundi i categorize sya sa Idie films..affordable sa mga creators mismo and para mka buhat pag daghan..

if i only have the money and the resources i'd love to organize an animation group which is the only goal is to create their best animation each year then at the end of the year naai murag grand cartoon premier sa usa ka local bar or cafe or whatever then ang invited audience would vote for the best cartoon then naai award..pero problema lang gd..bacn masudlan nasad nag politics pero my main point is naai murag venue ba nga kapakitaan sa mga nahimo sa mga individual or group na animation enthusiasts to let the public know nga naai animation scene dri sa cebu and is invited to be part of it.

ma unite na oi..kai the film showing will showcase from 3d to 2d animation..pero strict lang ta nga animation jd sya and dli puro nlang live action ang makita..pwede music video bsta naai animated elements or animation based ang ilang binuhat..showcase lang gd..party2x ta ginagmay sugod gastoan na sa tanang mga ni join sa film showing invite tag mga artist pd or mga teachers ug art then chika2x then if mu work didto na dayon ang award2x..or pwede ganig kita2x lang jd invite lang tag kinsa atong gusto nga maka appreciate sa atoang gusto..problema ani bro is commitment lang jd sa usag usa ug gamai nga financial sacrifices kai hopefully if musikat na we can have sponsors..char!..hehe!! unya na ta ana oi..pero libre man mangarap dba?..hehe!
