ALP manila just informed me that there will be an upcoming activity here in cebu that will be handled by chris go this coming feb. 28, it will surely be filled with fun activities. i'm trying to arrange now to be back here in cebu by that day or the night before. hopefully we'll all see each other in that day too

and it is corrected that the Feb 21 Physics Olympics and Stargazing Activity is actually on Feb 28... Divemaster, could this be the said activity to be held in usc-tc?

Heads up... based on METOCPH reports, good stargazing weather starting tonight. Moon is waning crescent, so it won't be bothersome during the first half of the evening.

I'm planning to. But Chris told me to inform the USC-Talamban Physics department in advance because strict daw ang gate entry sa USC, basin di daw ko pasudlon

BTW heads up...

Comet C/2007 Lulin N3 will be beside Saturn near the zenith at around midnight tonight. It's faint, possibly at mag 6-7, and since it's beside Saturn, basin hanap ra kaayo, but at least it's easy to locate it. 10x50 Binoculars will probably be good.
