Celebrity web site TMZ.com has the exclusive photo of Rihanna’s face with bruises and scratches from an alleged attack at the hands of boyfriend-singer Chris Brown.

The image shows the battered face of R&B singer Rihanna with marks on her cheek and forehead and swelling on her lips. TMZ did not say how it obtained the photo.

The Los Angeles Police, on the other hand, firmly said that the agency hasn’t release any images of Rihanna after the incident and will not release any evidence photos.

Apparently, a person familiar with the situation confirmed that the woman was Rihanna and that the marks and injuries were consistent with the injuries the songstress sustained. The said person requested anonymity and he or she was not authorized to speak publicly on the matter.

No public statement has been issued on behalf of Rihanna as of yet.
