cguro the deny word means something like this....

"Scholars have uncovered that there's evidence that there was a female pope but details remain sketchy as of now. On a recent presscon the Vatican DENIED this story as whimsical and is utterly preposterous."

mao na cya..ni deny kai wla jd makita or wla na convince nga naai god..dli deny nga nituo pero gi deny..murag accusations nga gi DENY kai dli tinuod...if you're accused of formulating a plot to kill the pope..of course you would DENY it kai wla man jd kai plot to kill the pope right...kai in reality wla man kai gihimo nga plot to kill the pope mao imong gi DENY ang accusation..

to DENY is to state that something is not TRUE.

both right, of course .. however, i would expect dictionary entries to be terse, concise. why both "disbelieve" and "deny" in the definition? "disbelieve" covers what you two just pointed out (which is also my understanding of "deny" in this context) but what's "disbelieve" doing in the definition if that's already what "deny" means?

i am of course nitpicking, all in the desire to understand our friends in this thread

anyway it just hit me .. disbelieve is "inwards" while denies is "outwards".

no need to make it sound really complicated.

to be an Atheist is to DENY the existence of God. no sugar coating there. straight and simple.

but then again, sa dugay nakong basa2x ani nga thread... naa pud diay fake and true atheist. it's the most ridiculous thing in the world. lolx.

I am perplexed, how could anyone possibly know that he/she is a true or fake atheist? The fact is, none of them have had conversation with the person personally. You know what I think, you "all" assume too much.

i guess he meant me though bro and not u....but thats alright...no hard feelings at all...as what sinyalan said...no one knows me well or have met me in person and has/had conversation about what i believe in...so really...all i ask to those who call me fake..before u judge that im fake...u should prove it first that im faking or should i say... meet me in person or ask anyone that is close to me if im such a fake.simple.
