it's a bang for the buck in my opinion.. you can't find any other winmo device that can match to the omnia's specifications and still be less than 30k..

ok now i can tick the contacts, messages, etc from the sync options but still NO backup and restore option when i click mobile device settings.. my last option there is END PARTNERSHIP..

hmm... which version of the firmware have you tried to update to?
try uninstalling and reinstalling windows mobile device center. run wmdc and plug in your omnia and see if it recognizes/detects it.

it detects my phone.. i already re-installed this for like 3 times now, and still i get the error that it's not installed..

EDIT: still no luck.. im using Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit BTW.. i will try this on a XP-based computer, hope it works..

there is no backup button. you just sync the device, and wmdc does the rest. if you hard reset your device and sync it back, it will copy the checked items (contacts, tasks, calendar, etc.) provided that the partnership defines a two-way relationship -> either pc/device can add or modify checked items

that's the problem with 64-bit OS, the lack of working drivers...

it works fine now in my cousin's 32-bit vista, but now i get "Incorrect Software version".. i tried the fix wherein i enter Singapore as my country by using the phonepad and keying in some numbers, but still doesn't work.. i also tried making it Philippines but still not working..

if you got the SG ROM Update, mao sad na gamita na default provider sa imo phone... Sa ako Vista 32-bit, nagka problema ko ana the first few attempts but naka upgrade ra pud ko.

i was using the PH ROM update, and i set the default country to Philippines, but it was not working.. i tried the SG ROM update while setting the default country to Singapore, it worked..
