My point is that these great men turned to atheism as their philosophy as their "god and weapon" when it is convenient for them to cover up with their psychological problems.

if somebody tells another to kill a man...this person would shudder in fear and disgust.

if somebody tells another man to kill another for "god's will/ god's cause/ god says so"....results astoundingly VARY.

so much for god as a weapon.

Just read their biographies and what kind of psychological problems they suffered. Most of them suffered depression like in the case of Nietzsche, Freud, Bonaparte, and others.

IRRELEVANT? I prefer as in my case as "NON CLINGING", personaly i think you dont need a god or a god concept fto be a good, just, fair & efficient individual. And i dont necesrly have to brand myself as an atheist as well just bec i dont like popular god concept, its like going out to a prison cell only to find out that im entering a new prison cell;And a happy person doesnt necessarily have to lobby agresivly against a theist as well(not unless if it really creates threat to his safety & human rights);i kind of adpt the gospel of "i dont know" espcly when it comes to god;its both presumptous to say that thers god & thers no god; better, honestly "i dont know"

The Austrian psychiatrist Sigmund Freud represented atheist dogma in the psychological field in the 19th century.

Freud put forward a theory of psychology that denied the existence of the soul and attempted to explain man's internal world in terms of sexual impulses.

Freud claimed that to have accounted for the origin of psychological problems. Yet his theory actually encouraged new ones. This teaching, which describes man as a species of animal that lives only to satisfy its selfish desires, actually increased loneliness, fear and depression in people by debasing spiritual values.

Pictures by artists influenced by Freud depicted the dark world of that teaching.

Freud's most important attack was aimed at religion. In his book The Future of an Illusion, published in 1927, he alleged that religious belief was a kind of mental sickness, and maintained that religious beliefs would disappear as man progressed.

In his 40s, Freud "had numerous psychosomatic disorders as well as exaggerated fears of dying and other phobias" (Corey 2001, p. 67)

But what happened to Freud? He was too depressed to acknowledge that his great students like Carl Jung, Alfred Adler left him for good. Freud suffered psychological problems and resorted to cigar addiction until he died of cancer caused by excessive smoking.

What happened to "GOD is just an invention of the unconscious? " It was totally refuted by the great psychiatrist Carl Jung in his Collective Unconscious which states that Our ancestors worshiped and acknowledged in the divine as part of Humanity's evolving Psyche!
