atheism would be a likely option to choose if a person has had enough of his so-called life. maybe it's like his life has been a living disappointment. from unsuccessful relationships, unsuccessful jobs, deteriorating family matters, venereal diseases, molesting priests, corrupt government officials, unbelievable taxes, dengue fever, untimely deaths, world disasters, and almost all chaotic happenings there are.

maybe the person has come to a point in his life and asked the heavens: are you there God? since he got no answer, he has deduced that there is no God. and thus an atheist is born.

it's pitiful that he has not realized that maybe God has nothing to do with it all. maybe everything that has happened and should happen depends entirely on him. God is there within You.

Lots of great Atheists were psychologically unstable. Read the life of Nietzsche, Sartre, Freud, Stalin, Mao, Napoleon Bonaparte, and others.

My point is that these great men turned to atheism as their philosophy as their "god and weapon" when it is convenient for them to cover up with their psychological problems.

Just read their biographies and what kind of psychological problems they suffered. Most of them suffered depression like in the case of Nietzsche, Freud, Bonaparte, and others.

then they should be called "irrelevantists" instead. because everything that has something to do with religion is irrelevant to them. that should be their entry in the bio-data section of RELIGION: IRRELEVANT.

IRRELEVANT? I prefer as in my case as "NON CLINGING", personaly i think you dont need a god or a god concept fto be a good, just, fair & efficient individual. And i dont necesrly have to brand myself as an atheist as well just bec i dont like popular god concept, its like going out to a prison cell only to find out that im entering a new prison cell;And a happy person doesnt necessarily have to lobby agresivly against a theist as well(not unless if it really creates threat to his safety & human rights);i kind of adpt the gospel of "i dont know" espcly when it comes to god;its both presumptous to say that thers god & thers no god; better, honestly "i dont know"
