Just switched last 02/14/09. Exactly a year from the day I bought my AMD x2 4000+. Mas ganahan gyud ko lagi aning Core 2 Duo for multi-tasking and the fast load up times of certain games...also its a re-freshig feeling to be able to monitor exact temps of my processor unlike my AMD x2 4000+ Brisbane which had a faulty DTS and thus could not properly give me accurate temp readings ( Mentioned it here: https://www.istorya.net/forums/comput...ane-users.html ).
    OT sad:

i made the switch late last year..around 1 year sad after getting my x2 4400. pero cheapo akong conroe, pentium dual core e2140 ra..at that time mao nlng nabilin sa akong budget kay medyo expensive akong mobo. at stock settings i would say slightly faster ang x2 4400+ (since it was more expensive anyway) when playing some games, but just increasing the fsb from 200mhz to 350mhz without changing anythything else blows my old brisbane away..hehe.

    back on topic:

as for x2 5600+ vs e7300, all i know is that the E5200 is way better than the X2 5200+ if you check some reviews for the e5200. the e7300 is around 150mhz faster than the e5200 and has 50% more L2 cache, while the 5600+ is 200mhz faster than the 5200+ with everything else the same (afaik)..so i guess based on that you could easily say mas paspas ang e7300

Temps though seem to be a bigger concern for me now. Anyways pila gani temps sa imo Der FüHRER if through the bios ka mo-tan-aw sa temps?
i just found this old post of yours and remembered something. i used to think na fixed ang ram voltage sa atong mobo, kay dili man nimo ma edit if you press "enter" unlike sa other options niya. i was held back by ram speed when i tried to overclock man gud..so i was wondering how to increase/decrease the ram voltage. turns out you just have to press "+" or "-" lang diay..haha. took me awhile to figure that one out

    hmmm.. x2 5600+ vs e7300...

I'd say go for which lover you are.
if you like Intel products then go for intel.
if you like AMD products then go for AMD.

    looking at the price range
    x2 5600+ is around P3,100
    vs e7300 is around P5,500

looks like x2 5600 is the winner? it's just much cheaper.

why not go for the following (same price)
    CPU Phenom X3 8650 - P5,495
    vs
    Intel Core 2 Duo E7300 (2.66Ghz) 5,595.00
    vs
    Intel Core 2 Duo E7400 (2.80Ghz) 5,895.00

    --- id go for E7400. ^_^

either go for which ever cheaper or go for which brand lover are you.
still love intel, so i go for intel. i almost choose AMD because it's cheaper.
