10,000 years ago, 10-year old dads and moms were the NORM. Ergo, you should be glad of this fact--otherwise, there would be no human race as we know it.

Just think--from a biological standpoint, if a 13-year old dad is "abnormal", why do male gonads start producing sperm even as early as 11? I should know, I started masturbating about that age

The current NORM is a broken bottle waiting to be recycled.

^my great married at 14. but the thing was, she was self supporting already at that time. namaligya og tabako, tuba, ug manok. magbagtas og pila ka kilometro gikan bukid hangtod sa lungsod. at that age, she was responsible.

I doubt if teenagers these days can at least be self supporting.

And where do you put the blame on this issue? What else? Mass media and pop culture (i.e. "get rich quick", "rags to riches" stories...the average Filipino kid, and even the average Filipino adult is so obsessed with these ideas, which is why Willy Revillame is so popular)...kids have become lazy and just want to "wait" for MONEY to come flowing like an eternal river their way. Why is mass media and pop culture encouraging this? Because capitalist economics dictate it--the more consumers you have, the "better" the economy. Never mind creating a society of inept teenagers incapable of self-sustenance...the three important things, above everything else, are profit, profit, and PROFIT.

naa gyud na diri sa pinas... hehehe.... kanang mga bata sa pier na mamaligya ug flesh ang uban na naa nay anak.. they start as young as nine years old so by the age of 13 14 may mga anak na sila...

hehehe.... at that age...physically pwede na gyud ka maka-buhat ug bata ang usa ka bata.... but honestly it takes more than that to be a parent...

bata pa kaayo to... dili pa psychologically ready ang bata for such responsibility.. i mean even a 30 year old man is sometimes not ready for that kind of responsibility what more a 13 year old boy...

he would need alot of help for sure... babies have to feed very two hours... imagine a boy waking evry two hours to feed the baby and doing his homework at the sametime... no playstation, no computer...

Which is exactly my point. I mean, 10,000 years ago, these biologically capable kids were also capable PARENTS...why? Kay wala ma'y Papaya Skin Whiteners, wala ma'y cellphones, wala ma'y debut at 18, wala ma'y iPODs, wala ma'y Starbucks, wala ma'y Havaianas, wala ma'y spa, wala ma'y THE PUMP, wala ma'y BMW, wala ma'y internet, wala ma'y "I'm so cool and hip because I read J. D. Salinger", wala ma'y DSLR, wala ma'y PSP, wala ma'y fine dining...and sooo on and on and on...

...I personally think that if you remove all these elements, you'll have more responsible kids. I know, a rather skewed and brash observation, on my part, but that is my belief.

ummmm... obviously you dont have a child... i do. im not really a party person, nor a starbucks person... i dont like psp also...

when you're a perant you ask your self how can i raise this child to be a better person than i am... im 23 years old and sometimes it still feel difficult to do that... babies are responsibilities... thats why many parents encourage their children not to get married early... when you have kids you have to grow up.. quickly...

you have to think what values you want to teach them, what kind of person you want them to be... you want them to have dreams be able to fulfill that...

yaw mo sila maging rapist, magng gangster, now if you're 13 years old... you're not even still aware of the many realities of life...

kids are impulsive, they act without thinking sometimes... and usually kids dont have the patience.. and you need alot of it to take care of a baby... besides if you have kid of your own you have to think of the kid and not about yourself...

i'm against the RH Bill also brod...and would admit this is because i'm on the Church's side/teaching...
